The Plumbing Helper assists plumbers with rough-ins, fixture installation, and piping work.
Requirements
Responsibilities
Assist with Rough-Ins:
Collaborate with senior plumbers to layout and install plumbing systems according to blueprints and specifications.
Prepare and position pipes and fittings for installation in walls, floors, and ceilings.
Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations during the rough-in process.
Drains, Vents, and Water Lines:
Assist in the installation and maintenance of drainage systems, including sinks, toilets, and bathtubs.
Support the installation of venting systems to ensure proper air circulation and drainage functionality.
Help in laying out and connecting water supply lines, ensuring proper pressure and flow.
Carry, Cut, and Assemble Pipes:
Transport various types of pipes and fittings to work sites, ensuring they are handled safely and efficiently.
Utilize appropriate tools to accurately measure, cut, and shape pipes to required specifications.
Assemble pipes and fittings using methods such as soldering, threading, or solvent welding, ensuring leak-free connections.
Support Testing and Inspections:
Assist in conducting pressure tests and inspections to verify the integrity of plumbing systems.
Help identify and troubleshoot any leaks or issues during testing phases.
Document results and findings during inspections for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
